I am going to take a stab at this and say no, only because I believe the 2007 year xtr pedal was new. Even though it wasnt that much of a change from the 959.

Not sure about XTR, but there is a 2008 XT pedal.

Isn't that really the '08 XTR stuff that is revealed in summer '07?

I think all that new XTR crap is really considered in the '08 line, no?

The xtr stuff was summer of 06 for 07, the new xt stuff was summer of 07 for 08, I believe. I think shimano has like a cycle for their lines. xtr first, then it trickles down.

This is what I think, not 100% sure though.

I'm pretty sure all the new stuff this year was XTR - the SRAM-like rear derailleur. But let me check...
