1x crank options for non boost: offset chainring or just go 2x?

Never gonna let you down.
I’ve been running 1x11 for years on my commuter (135mm non boost mtb) using an old 3x gxp crank. The cranks have developed an annoying creek and I’m looking to replace them. Outside of getting something used off eBay, I’m debating whether to buy dub cranks and use a 6mm offset chainring or convert to 2x. Shimano sells a deore 2x crank that will give me correct chain line. I’ve heard the last iteration of front mountain derailleurs aren't that bad, especially with a clutch derailleur.

I can get a deore crank, bb, derailleur, shifter and chain for less than a dub crank, bb and chainring. There’s some advantage of being able to run a 36t on the 2x. Any thoughts? Am I missing an option?
