    Mercer County Park Conditions

This is a current trend with park administrators all through the Delaware valley. I remember it starting with the wiss here in Philly about 18 or 20 yrs. ago. It lit off a highly propagandized power struggle between the mb community and the nature watchers that lasted for 5 or 6 yrs. When the...

The more grey my hair gets, the more in tune to these highly offensive comments I become. (just a reaction from another cranky old jackass)

    Mercer County Park Conditions

My wife & I were there on Tues 10/11 at around noonish and there was a guy who was riding a road bike there with an axe chopping it apart. He said he thought it "disturbed the flow" of the trail. I said that I liked it and there was no reason to remove it since there were several sufficient...

    Mercer County Park Conditions

Yes. That's exactly the trail I'm thinking of. The one off N. Post rd, on the other side of the boat house. I thought "the missing link" might have been what the locals called it. Thank you for the correction.

Thanks for the feed back. In the 4 yrs or so that I've been riding Mercer, I've only been able to ride that trail a couple of times. It's a shame we can't figure out how to rectify this condition. It's too nice of a piece of trail to let go to waste

    Mercer County Park Conditions

Thanks for the info. I didn't go on Friday as I had planned because of the rain we had on Thursday. I stayed here in Philly and road a local trail. It's a pretty boring trail but, it dries out really fast. I'm shooting for next Saturday or Sunday at Mercer. Hopefully, conditions will improve by...

    Mercer County Park Conditions

Thanks again for the prompt reply. I apologize if I my last response sounded a little demanding. I did not mean to come off that way. I was simply trying to determine if you understood the specific section of trail I was asking about. It seems from your reply that you do not. Due to the fact...

    Mercer County Park Conditions

Thanks for the feed back! The specific part of the trail I'm most interested in is the section on the far side of the boathouse. I know that the entrance to that section is often too wet to allow access to the interior part of that trail. Can you tell me anything about that section? Thanks

    Mercer County Park Conditions

I'm hoping to head over to Mercer on Friday the 10th. It will be my first time at Mercer since last June. I'd like to ride the entire trail. Does any one know if the trail on the other side of the boat house is accessible? I know that it is often times too wet to ride. Has anyone tried it...

    Mercer County Park Conditions

Today's ride So, I took Mike And Muddy's advise and the wife and I hit the trails. We rode the trail on both sides of the marina and found both to be in great condition with only a few very minor exceptions. There were the usual spots that remain a little damp after a heavy rain. The only real...
