    Lost & Found

Stopped by the Saffins lot on my way home from work and checked the trail map box thingy - just on the outside chance someone picked up my lost radio - it was there! Woohoo! Sending good karma to whoever did that. Thank you!

    snow tomorrow

I'm not going out today but planning to hit the park roads near high point tomorrow around noon. Start at the bottom of Sawmill and do the loop around Ridge road. Hopefully the snowmobiles will have the place packed down by then. PM if anyone is interested in meeting up.

Orange Trail off the rail trail

I followed it too, hoping it would hook back into the main trails somewhere. I noticed a rectangular concrete marker just off the rail trail - looks kinda like a property marker, so I was thinking (as ac mentioned) whoever owns the property (maybe the inn) made the trail and put up those awful...

    Fatbikes of NJ Gallery

What did you think? I did the same, and put a Gnarwhal on the back. Several rides so far. Still playing with the pressure. Traction is rediculously good and should be great in the snow, which is the main goal. Having said that, it's sluggish compared with the Knard 3.8's that were on there...

Yep, that was me. I thought that might have been your car. Was a good day. It always amazes me how empty the trails are there.

    Rockshox Bluto far tire fork

First ride on on my Farley with bluto fork and ghetto tubeless.... worth the investment for me. This is my primary bike, so smoothing out the rocky singletrack was a must. Special thanks to Pete and Sussex Bike (Andover) for a nice job. On a related note, if anyone needs a used rigid...

    Ghetto tubeless

Bottom of "the wall" and runout from stonegate are a bit "hold on for dear life", otherwise it's all good. During my last ride down there is when I decided to get a front shock. I'm also getting tired of flats, so hoping the front shock with a bit more air in the tire will reduce the pinches...

    Ghetto tubeless

+1lb for the fork and -2lb to lose the tubes. I'll be there shortly, starting with the fork. Wrists are killing me from Mahlon :-)

    Bear Encounters?

Have seen many over the years while running/biking at Mahlon and KVSP. They have no interest at all in me (must have been girl bears) - with or without cubs - and generally take off like they just robbed a bank. They seem to be very active right now. I've read on the internets that pepper...

    Crisis of confidence.

Good discussion. For me, it's not a matter of IF I should dial it back, but WHEN. I'm 47. A very good friend of mine - few years older - played very hard for a long time and didn't back off. He has a constant limp, tore his achilles last year, knees are shot, but he keeps pushing it. He's...
