Can we stop with the "cheater" lines?

haha, although i didnt know i had it, you stole my kom on the longer one!!! cheater!! if i had a downhill kom, then no one must ride that segment... did one of the quads i saw on sunday take you back up to skyline? mfers were riding the singletrack on lower cannonball to avoid the big...

Can we stop with the "cheater" lines?

good post. I went down cannonball on Sunday afternoon, and i actually had a little trouble actually finding the original line in a few of the tricky spots - if you are like me and can only look like 10 feet ahead on a trail like this, all you see is rocks with nothing to define the trail...

    Maxxis Ignitor 2.1 or 2.35?

Kind of funny b/c i run the Ss ralphs and sometimes a nobby nic in front on all my other bikes and love it. They wear fast but other than that great. The ralphs w out the Ss do suck though. Maybe i should sell this croud my ignitors? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

    Maxxis Ignitor 2.1 or 2.35?

i've got the 2.35s on my 26in bike, they look more like 2s. wouldnt go any smaller especially at those parks. you'd never notice the weight difference riding at those places imo. btw, i know you didnt ask but i dont really like them. even at really low pressure still feels like i am riding...

Which is a more epic experience; Stage Races or 100's?

I've done w101 and a few other 100m races over the past few years, and for me they are more of an accomplishment to look back on rather than "fun". Unless you are a great rider in sick shape, you are going to suffer miserably over an 8+++ hour day on dirt. Just no way around it if you are...

    Post Lewis Morris Race 2013

i'll admit to being a bit of a roadie, so this course was definitely in the comfort zone - if there wasnt a big 3/4/5 road race sunday (cielo), I bet there would have been even more roadies out there. anyway, i rode cat 2 ss at 32/20 - i was set up this way from last weeks race in PA and i...

    Stewart Super Six Pack 2013

my wife just informed me that i wont be racing this next week. so, assuming its ok to transfer? does anyone want the spot? i'm signed up SS, but i would hope if the spot can be transferred that we can change the category too. lmk.

    Stoopid 50

Yes, thanks for the photo of the results, happy to be on page one - i went straight to the car and got rolling back home so was curious about the times. Why is it so hard for them to post the results online?? Agree with other comments, this is a great race. Kind of surprised the field didnt...

    Traveling with a bike ...

+1 for the Pika Packworks. High quality, simple setup. Used it on many trips, protects the bike perfectly. Overkill for a road bike, but a big bag is necessary for a large FS mountain bike. Might be overkill for a SS rig too (if thats all you use it for), pretty hard to mess those things up...

Anybody have gearing advice for SS for this? I did wilderness 101 last year ( geared), and from what i can remember, most of the climbs were road/gravel and not crazy steep. Safe to assume similar? Was thinking 32/19 or 20. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

    NJ Highlands Gran Fundo

so i get one of those Uh Oh emails from strava that some dude stole a kom from me that i didnt know existed. i just checked and i guess it was climb #1 from this event today and a new segment and now im in like 20th place. soul crushing. i had no time to enjoy it. got spanked on barrett...

    First road flat. Questions.

I've been running tubeless setup on the road, shimano ultegra wheels with the bontrager r3 tubeless 25s. Decent wheels and not really pricey (400ish). Im about 175, and the best part about them is it lets me ride at 85-90psi, so cushy. I dont think its any slower either. I think thats a...

Want to ride at South Mtn this weekend

whatever you decide i would go v early while its still crunchy (assuming it freezes over tonight). i hiked the turtle back orange loop w the dog late in the day and it was soft (and that usually dries pretty good). lots of deep ruts out there, some people just cant control themselves.

    Lewis Morris Conditions

took the dog out for a quick ride along today, i would say park is rideable but is greasy and pretty sloppy in spots. dry is a stretch. still fun tho.:D

    Do You Have The Power!?

no its usually just a typical bearing - non-drive side for mine was 6802 - i think that's the one that typical fails. if you have any question about which one your is, type powertap bearing replacement into a web search - lots of info out there on this. that or when you get the non-drive...

    Do You Have The Power!?

i would recommend doing it yourself or bring it to a good lbs willing to give it a go - 10bucks for bearings and 40bucks(ish) for labor leaves you with 300bucks for starting your "quarq fund". lots of info on the web/youtube about how to do it. 350 to saris is a terrible scam. sorry im still...

    Do You Have The Power!?

i have a powertap pro+ wireless on my roadbike. or "had" is a better way of saying it. the bearings failed this past summer after about 1.5yrs of service. seems like a simple thing to just replace some bearings, but saris claims that trying to tap out the old bearings and replace them could...
