    Cross Vegas

Anyone know if there is any way to watch Cross Vegas tonight other than on Cycling Dirt? If not, does anyone know how much Cycling Dirt is charging? I think you need to register to see the subscription options, and I haven't done that yet. Thanks.

26er disc wheelset (wtb or trade)

I'm looking to upgrade my wife's bike to disc brakes, does anyone have a 26 inch wheelset they'd be willing to part with on the cheap? I'd also be happy to trade a set of 700c Mavic Aksiums with (or without) a pair of Michelin Mud 2 tires (currently set-up tubeless). Thanks!

    Wanted: PowerTap/CycleOps Power Wired Receiver/Mount

Hi All, I'm looking for a spare mount for a wired PowerTap Comp. New they go for $60-70, but I would imagine someone who has moved on to an ANT+ powermeter has one of these kicking around (and might be willing to part with it for less). Any luck? Thanks.

    Zipp 404's

Is there anyone here who has used Zipp 404's from ~2007 (the year with dust caps over the hubs, see photo) for cross? In particular, I'm curious about people's experience with the durability these hubs. Would using these in anything other than bone-dry conditions just be asking for trouble? Thanks.

    Cyclocross practice locations & times

Hi all, With cross season rapidly approaching, I wanted to see if people were willing to post up practice locations and times. The last couple years I lived up in New Brunswick and was aware of a few regular practices (Chimney rock, Rutgers, etc). I've recently moved down to Hamilton and...

Poor cable routing leading to excessive brakeset wear

I have a BMC SLT01 with internal cable routing. The rear brake in particular has really poor cable routing. The cable is required to navigate a path that leads to quite a bit of cable friction. Not only does this make cable replacement a pain, but it also makes it necessary to increase the...

    Powertap Wheel Spoke Tension

Does anyone know if spoke tension is of particular importance to the accuracy of data obtained while using a powertap wheel? If tension decreased (spokes loosened) over a period of time, would there be a corresponding decrease/increase in the measured power output? I ask because 1) I'm just...

    Traffic ticket for bike rack

Hi All, Last week on the turnpike I was pulled over by a police officer in an unmarked car. I was driving in the left lane, and a car came up behind me quickly and got close enough that I could not see the front bumper of the vehicle, there was a fair bit of traffic and I didn't change lanes...

Tubular Tire Repair - Tire Alert

I recently decided that I needed to re-glue some road tubulars, as the glue had dried out and didn't look so good. In the process of removing one of my tires I managed to rip the base tape off in a couple of spots; with this being a tire in great condition otherwise I wanted to get the base tape...

    I'm here for the cyclocross...

Hi All, I've been reading the forum for a while now; I figured it was about time that I register so that I can participate in some of the great conversations taking place here. I'm a big fan of the race re-caps (particularly RacerChick's Veldrijden photos) and the bike shop/tech related...
