    Bald Pate trail report! 1/31/09

    Les and I did a trail run this evening at 4:30pm. The trails are snow covered. The top inch is crusty, but firm. Very enticing at first, but the crusty top is covering a slick ice layer, one inch or less below the surface. Good for running. The footing is precarious, but not impassible.
