    Wildcat Ridge WMA Conditions

The trail managers emailed me a month or two ago to notify me that they were removing several trails from Trailforks since they were (as Jim mentioned) not legal trails. The beaver dam is here

    Wildcat Ridge WMA Conditions

Not so great up here... Patchy snow in the woods. Trails are soft everywhere there's no snow. Good for hiking, riding will be less than not good.

I should just buy a bearing puller

Slide hammer and the above-mentioned bearing presses will give you everything you need to do a complete bearing service. I spent nearly a decade working in a bike shop and before that, my dad had his auto repair shop that I worked at from like 7 until I was 17. My wife says I can fix anything...

    Nassau Trails - partial closure

It looks like the South Branch Watershed has been absorbed by the RHA https://www.raritanheadwaters.org/ Unfortunately, I'd say that someone involved way back had a poor view of MTB and thought it to be a destructive activity. The RHA looks like they do some great preservation work and...

    What are you watching now?

Binged watched The Offer. A slightly embellished version of how the Godfather was made. I found it pretty engaging. Some fun characters.

    Wildcat Ridge WMA Conditions

Did you hang a bandana with a bell on a branch a couple of months ago? One of my maniacs lost it. There's a tree down I wanted to mention... But hell if I can remember where. Oh wait. It's just passed the race track heading towards bat cave parking (before the bridge).

Dry January 2024 (The Sober Thread)

The common theme seems to be it's not a problem until it is. When you and your spouse are children of alcoholics it's always a problem. It hangs over my head like 100 tons of concrete waiting to fall. I seem to keep it in check, mostly. Then you find yourself downing a Dean Martin-sized...

1998 Specialized FSR Comp Sparks Up Nostalgia at Allaire

30 lbs is light for a dual crown rig. I have a 2023 Trek Fuel EX, full carbon everything that weighs nearly 31 lbs. Cool ride, ahhhh yes the 90's. Like the 80's except with suspension and clipless pedals.
