    Allaire Conditions

Already passed this info along, but sharing just as an advisory, since this could become a hazard before long. Hiking through for the first time in a while and I stumbled upon this on the blind trail. Someone decided to start hacking at one of the live trees on one of the tight gates on the...

Schwalbe NN blowout during install -- twice! Rim, tire or user issue?

If I recall correctly the Stan’s rims specify under 40psi because of the blowout risk. Pretty sure every tire I’ve seated (schwalbe included) was done under 40 with soapy water and occasionally bouncing to help pop the bead.

    Allaire Conditions

It was pretty good yesterday and has been dry here most of the day (30ish miles south). I’d assume that unless there’s any surprise showers tonight it will be ok. Probably soft in some spots, but I wouldn’t expect too much in terms of really wet mud. Probably better in the morning or later in...

    Ditching Clipless For Flats?

I have the Maltese falcon spd which are more or less the same. Nice grippy soles but also multi release clips, along with larger platform clipless on 2 bikes. Accidentally kick out of the clips pretty frequently, so getting stuck hasn’t been much of an issue. To be fair though, the most...

Trail Maintenance - don't do this

Mini ramp special on Wharton blue today. Mostly pine sticks that were already falling apart. Cleared it out rather than worry about someone getting a loose stick jammed up in their stuff over a max 5” log.

    Wharton Conditions

Attn: @slingblade_uhhuh Not sure if it came down since last weekend or not, but there’s quite a bit of debris on blue between red and white intersections. Most are small logs that can be pretty easily rolled over, but there are a couple in 3-5” range that are sitting above grade. I don’t bunny...

    Best bike transport rack???

I have a md 29”FS and 29” cross that I normally would have to keep the tailgate down for, but if I offset the rear wheel to the side I could close the gate. It does require removing the front wheel.

    Best bike transport rack???

Back when I had a frontier I had 2 Rocky mounts on the front utilitrack (think I got them from @Carson) and a kuat hitch mount. As long as the wheelbase didn’t require the tailgate be down I had capacity for 4 bikes.

    Stolen Bike - Monmouth County

Sorry about the bike. That sucks. Just tossing blink cameras in the mix. One of the first things I set up on my house for some peace of mind(be on each door). Can get 2 outdoor cameras for under $200 on Amazon. Mounts are fairly easy to place wherever as long as they’re within range of the...

    Post Your Doggo [woof]

My parents’/family dog has had almost the same thing going on. Not really any certainty what caused it. He doesn’t dig, so we know it not that. It’s healing now, so hopefully yours heals up soon. Guess I should also partake in the obligatory dog photos since I’ve been inactive for a while.

    G2 bleed question

Thanks. That was my suspicion, but I got a bit gun shy on assuming as much.

    G2 bleed question

So took a fairly long hiatus and have found myself with a minor “behind the times” sort of issue. Recently installed a new set of G2 brakes, and despite my plans I had to shorten a hose. Figured no big deal, just bleed the brakes. Only hiccup now is that after watching a refresher video I...

Sorry, going to miss this one. Have some house projects to get done since I’m coming up on a deadline. Hopefully I’ll be there next time.

    Attention Mercer County foodies........

Not anything super special, but my last time they the area I loaded up on some Halo Farms ice cream. Hadn’t had it since friends were at TCNJ 15+ years ago. Wonder if they distribute closer.

    Wharton Conditions

Save the day. Not a chance that it’ll be dry. Multiple days of rain dumped here already, and it is supposed to continue thru the weekend.

    Wharton Conditions

I couldn’t say anything definitive, but I don’t have a great feeling about Saturday. Most of the snow around here is already melted, but it’s really mushy out right now. I expect even more dismounts now too. Seen more tree damage in the area from this storm than the last. Going to be a fair...
