    Tires

K, follow me on this. I have my 29er with tubeless Schwabble Big One's on it. I use this for just riding up and down the Spring Lake/Belmar/Asbury strip. Now these tires are pretty fat, albeit very small lugs. For less rolling resistance, should I switch to a thinner, "tubed" tire.? Or would a...

Best new trail you've ridden lately.

Rode Mercer. Fun, but small. Still loving Allaire.

The clothes you wear on a bike...

I had a few pais of Zoics for years. But the padding sucked and the outer shell was not stretchable material which I hated. They always pulled. Got a couple of pairs of Bontragers and I love 'em. Great padding, all round stretch, stink resistant.

The clothes you wear on a bike...

Some stuff I just won't buy online. I have to touch clothes and feel the material. Plus I like to try them on as different manufacturers have different styles and fits.

Seeking advice on where to move to in Jersey...

Ugh, Dover? Going east on Rt. 80 in the AM. Again, ugh. Northern Monmouth County. U can take the train right at the Aberdeen/Matawan station. And u r still close to some good riding. Allaire, Six Mile Run, Hartshorne, etc.

How the hell are we supposed to retire?

So, so true. I'll work until they throw the dirt on me. And I dont have a problem with that! Its being without a job that would scare me. I dont see how these young kids aren't seeing it. Times were flush back in the 80's. I dont think kids today will ever see that. Coming outta college 100, 200...

Tips to keep a powder coated frame clean

I've tried waxing. But that was old paste wax that leaves the white marks. My local wrench said just to use some WD-40 or the same wet lube u would use for ur chain. Seems to work well. When sweat hits my top tube, it just beads off.

Road riders how do u justify it?

Bicycling Magazine once had an article that once said stay more IN the lane so ur more visible. The more lane u give up, the more the car will take.

Road riders how do u justify it?

Very true. I use to go out at the Crack of dawn. Even in my conjested area of Brick, I still have to ride a few miles to get on some more "country" roads out in the Howell/Allenwood area.

Road riders how do u justify it?

I hear ya. I lost my "feel" for road biking. I have my 29'er that I have Schwabble Big One's on it that I'll ride up and the Spring Lake/Belmar/Asbury strip. But after seeing, and yes, I mean seeing that guy get killed on Herbertsville Rd. some years back, I figure it's just to congested in my area.

    Cleaning & Lubing chain

Over the years I was told to use soooo many different products. Boshield, LPS, etc. I use Gumout to degrease. Then, depending where or what I'm riding in, I'll either use White Lightning, or Liquid Wrench spray lube. You'll get a hundred different answers up here. The key is to find what u like...

Wow, there r some that say Allaire isn't even that technical. LOL. Tiger Woods trail is pretty awesome. U gotta get on the other side of Hospital Rd. and ride "Endor" and "Who gone and dunit".
