I have been running a set of Vittoria Barzo for the last couple seasons. My riding is done in the Rocky portion of NJ; Allamuchy, Stephens, Chimney Rock, Kittatinny…. And I have been happy with their performance. Best XC tire, that is personal preference. But I have been pleased with the Barzo’s.

Unfortunately we do 2 races a year, these 2. I completely understand circumstances. We will leave the decision up to our daughter. Wife and I will race either. Good old fashion “Rocks, Paper, Scissors”.

Was just looking through some potential races this year when I noticed that LewMo and Summer Sizzler are on the same day, June 30th. Stinks because family wants to do both of those races.

Actually last weekend. And did a ride last Sunday out of Waterloo up to Kitty on the Sussex branch. Then around Kitty carriage roads and back to Waterloo. Gearing is 40/17.

So I use a Garmin Instinct 2 watch and Strava. 2 different distances, max speed, and elevation between the 2. But the wife and I live the Beacon. Now I have never googled a different serves that can track me when running and biking. But the beacon is nice to make sure she is safe, if one of us...

The family and I will be there. My oldest raced there this past weekend. She is planning on racing Cat 3 for the sizzler. Wife and I will be racing (trying to ride fast) also.

So I got it figured out. Found a manual from Europe that showed a picture. There is an internal routing/guide built into the frame, only inside the frame. You drop the fork so you can see the guide to route the cable. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of it when I dropped the fork. And...

I will have to try that. I tried the plastic one in the jagwire bag and those are too fat to fit in the hole. Thank you @Patrick

Putting gears back on my bike for one of the NICA riders to try it out. The cable housing that goes from the shifter the the frame is the issue. When I insert it into the frame I can feel a stop in there. Then I set the bike up. But eventually the cable slides past the frame stop and cable goes...

Shimano XT. I have a Gravel/All roads bike and a mountain bike. Use Shimano on both.

Turned the wife’s commuter into a 1x11. I had the XTR and XT stuff sitting around for about 4 years. The GRX crank I ordered. And threw some 38mm Panaracer Gravelkings SS on it also. Bike is a Trek FX3 she picked up almost 3 years ago that came with 2x10 Altra stuff.
