I went tubless last year and wanted to a little help on maintenance and general repair. 1)First off I wanted to know how often I should add or change the liquid in the tire? How do you know you have enough. The bike has been in the garage for some time now so I am sure evaporation, etc have...

    Air loss

I had a question about what is "normal" air loss. I went tubeless last season and I noticed this year I am losing quite a bit of air in my rear tire. Seems every time I get on my bike I notice more air loss. I thought it was the weather and evaporation of the fluid with the recent hot spell...

    Question on tubless maintenance

I converted my tires to tubless last season and wanted to get it ready for this season. Not sure what, if anything I need to do. I know you need to add some of the solution over time, but how do you know when you need to do it? Anything else that needs to be done? Thanks.

    Cleaning tools

This may have been discussed before but I could not find anything from a search of the site so I will ask the question. Do they cleaning tools/brushes work? I have seen these from Park Tool and Pedros among others. I am wondering if a basic brush would work just as well. Anyone have any...

I need a recommendation a kids trailer. It needs to hold two kids (one being an infant >6mnths). I am looking for something comfortable for them and me (I don't want to feel like I am lugging around a ton of weight) and reasonably priced. I have seen the chariot line but these are like $400+...

    adjusting disc brakes

I needed some help on adjusting disc brakes. It appears my rear brake is loosing up a bit. The brakes still works fine but previously I would just need to tap the lever to initiate the brake. I now need to press in a significant amount before I get the same results. I assume this is from use...

    online products

Just wanted to get feedback on where everyone gets their gear and other items online? I prefer to go to my LBS for certain items, so I can get opinions and "touch" the product, but for others I don't see the need. I have seen price point and hucknroll. Anyone use any of these? Just want...

    where to park/start

I went over to six mile this weekend to check it out, for future reference, as I was in the area. I was wondering where everyone parks/starts. A lot of the roads were closed due to flooding but I tried to follow the navi and I have to say it was beyond confusing. I could not even find the...

    Are all tubes the same

Ok I had the unfortunate luck of getting two flats this weekend while riding. They were both due to thorns. While changing the flats I realized I need a better option, so my question is is there a difference in tube brands? I am using a Giant presta valve tube. I have seen tube running from...

    Rattling from front of bike

I noticed some rattling coming from the front of my bike (almost like the sound of a bearing in the front rim). Its not a constant noise and appears to happen only once I turn at a certain angle. It is driving my crazy and I want to make sure it is not part of a larger issue. Any ideas? :hmmm:

    Question on Trails at mercer

I have never ridden mercer but am thinking about checking it out, as it appears to have a bunch of good beginner sections. From the trails to ride (red, blue, orange) which would be good for a beginner? Also, are the trails packed on the weekends? Just curious, as this is my first ride in...

Anyone rising one of these bikes? I wanted to get some feedback. I went and rode on today long with the xtc1 and the cannondale 29er 2. I have to say I loked the feel of the Giants. I definitely noticed the difference in the xtc 1, but the price range is a bit high which is the reason I am...
