No, Killens is south of Dover - over an hour from the trails.

Killens Pond is in Felton, DE - which is south of Dover and over 1 hour from White Clay. Lums Pond is the closest camping to trails at White Clay. With respect to alchol at the park, I believe you may be able to get a permit for the picnic area - but not for the campground. It's been years...

Joe should know, the rangers snuck on him and made him dump out 3-4 beers that were in a small cooler :rofl::rofl::rofl: Other than that, Lums is a nice place to stay. Open all year, and they also rent out Yurts for people that don't want to camp in a tent and don't have a trailer or camper.

Actually it was the Cycle Works truck that pulled the Marty's bus out of the mudd :)

the Skinnies contest is from 1 to 2, you should be fine with working the waiver table from 3-5 :D

Marc - all volunteers from 5-6 will be helping with cleanup, I guess the schedule was a little unclear with that.

Corkscrew Location?? I have a copy of the unofficial White Clay map, and didn't see the trail called Corkscrew on there. Can someone post up as to what trail it is off of? After riding Sidewinder at KT, I'm sure all of us will want to check this one out as well when we are there this weekend.

Funny story - last fall, me, Allamuchy Joe, Tonyride, Dufus and a few others were riding at KVSP. We were on off the rail trail on a singletrack that is between the rail trail and Goodale Road. There was a hunter in full camo sitting on the trail with his back against a tree and his legs out...

If you haven't been there yet - try the Deer Park Tavern (corner of Main Street and 896N). They have fantastic nachos grandes and nice cold beer on tap.

no, flashlight doesn't qualify. From our experience light systems sometimes fail, therefore the two systems have to be "bike light" systems - in case one fails, the other must be capable of allowing you to ride and get out of the woods. Expect 1.5-2 hours of night riding.
