Six Mile Time Trial Throwdown - Beat My Time

Here is my entry into this esteemed competition. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/42453394 My gps didn't work well in the twisty sections. Also, I don't remember going 379 mph at any point, but maybe I blacked out.

    GPS Track/GPX management software

Topofusion I use Topofusion on Windows (http://www.topofusion.com/). They have a free trial and paid version. The user interface could use some work, but it has a lot of features and is easy to use once you get used to it.

    Route generator websites

I sometimes use google maps to create a route, then run this script on it to create a gpx file or cue sheet. http://the-yosts.com/googlemap_cuesheet.html It works very well. You can tweak the route easily by moving the line around.

Spring Binding - Crank Bros Mallets

I had the same problem with those pedals. The "wings" would get jammed open. I contacted Crank Bros and sent them back for repair. They installed some plastic spacers free of charge and I haven't had the problem since.

    Seattle

Ha! That is definitely true of the northwest. When I lived in Oregon no one crossed the street until the signal told them too. It's the opposite of NYC or Philly where the only reason you wouldn't cross the street is if you are going to be run over imminently.

    New tires ?

Specialized the Captain I recently put on Specialized "The Captain" Control 2bliss front and rear. They were very easy to set up with Stan's tubeless using just a floor pump. So far the grip has been very good at around 22-27 psi.

    Philly Race this weekend

They usually have a kids area with some acts, games, stuff like that, near the Art Museum. That may keep them occupied for a while. You could always come for the last hour or so of the race. It usually ends around 3:00-3:30pm.

    Cancellara, Your better than that!

I don't think these accusations are legitimate without any concrete evidence. I think you could probably take a video of just about any rider making an attack and find some kind of suspicious finger movement. What about a toe movement? Or maybe the motor is activated by blinking 3 times...

Just got back from Blue Marsh, PA

I rode there on Sunday. Perfect weather but hot. There were lots of boats out on the lake, but very few hikers/bikers/equestrians on the trail. I did the 32 mile loop and was cooked at the end.

    Seattle

It's about a 2 1/2-3 hour drive from Seattle, but the Leavenworth/Wenatchee area has some great riding. There are several shops in Leavenworth that rent bikes. The Devil's Gulch trail is about as epic as they get, and the scenery is amazing. Also I have heard good things about the Ape...

    Conditions

I just got back from Baldpate. I rode up the park road, across the ridge trail, and down through honey hollow. The ridge trail was bone dry. Honey hollow had mud in the usual places - not super wet, but tacky mud, and a lot of it. In addition it seems like there has been significant erosion over...

    Conditions?

I rode Six Mile this evening. Conditions are excellent, except for some muddy spots on the red trail on the west side of Middlebush Road. I didn't ride the blue trail.
