I've always found the prices at Halter's to be very competitive. (Not all LBSs are, though). When I factor in all the free advice i get, the knowledgeable staff and the awesome trail building at 6 Mile I think it's more than competitive; it's a bargain.

I have a relatively new (1 year old) set of Magura Louises. Overall I really like these brakes but I cannot figure out how to make the rear caliper stop squealing. I changed the pads and tried adjusting the caliper alignment. No difference. Any ideas?

Can you let us know how it is? Thinking about riding there Friday.

Years ago when people started riding there the land was also very popular with hunters. The sounds of gunshots were so frequent people liked it to wartime Vietnam. Personally, I saw more bow hunters but more than once I had a gun pointed at me as I came around a bend. Nowadays though it's not...

Thanks! We rent a house on the mountain from http://www.burkemill.com/. You won't need a guide. All the trails are well marked and the maps are very accurate. Stop by the visitors center, they set you up.
