    Stupid question Magura MT7 pads

They showed up today and it was amazingly easy. Was shocked how much of the existing pads was still left though. They had about 1,000 miles on them but yep when I checked the new ones, after seating them in, the new ones made a huge difference. Thanks!

    Stupid question Magura MT7 pads

Have about 1K on my pads and I think they're in bad shape. This is a stupid question but do folks remove the caliper when swapping pads? Looks like on the MT7 that it's two bolts on each caliper and then take out 4 pads and simply line up the new pads. Or am I missing something like pistons...

    E-bikes are a thing

I don't get the negative comments towards ebikes but I suppose it must be only coming from those that ride single speed hardtails. I love my ebike. I'll go out for 2-3 hours and finish with an average HR for the ride in the upper 140s which isn't bad for someone that's 55 years old. I've...

New to Forum, Morris County Rider

I may see you out there on my ebeater, Cube 160. I ride Lewis Morris frequently, but also do a lot of exploring around black river and some trails I recently found between Chester and Mendham. Haven't made it over to Mine Hill yet since I recently had some surgery but am hoping to maybe get...

    Saturday AM Ride 10/24

Man, whoever is racing must not know anything about LMP. There's like 100 plates every 5'. Learned one thing tonight, .... I wicked suck at riding rocky trails when covered with wet leaves.

What have you done to your bike today?

Got the new rear tire on, setup tubeless. May not be much, but I'm learning as I go. Anxious to see what traction I get. Still need to work up some type of new bash guard since I pulled a whoops trying to clear an obstacle a few weeks ago (hey, I didn't airball it though).

What have you done to your bike today?

Swapped the front to a Pirelli Scorpion S and did my first setup as tubeless. Man, I must be getting old. It used to be much easier to get tires onto the rim. Odd thing... you can't find 36mm tubeless rim tape anywhere these days.

    My arms are killing me

Not to sound dumb, but I do use the dropper. I drop the seat but then sit on it. Are you saying crouch down behind it? Thanks

    My arms are killing me

Thanks all. Lowered my rear tire to 18psi today and road a few laps of the orange trail at LMP plus others. Felt a bit better although it felt like the rear may have squished a bit at times. You could hear it moving around over the roots at the top etc. Repositioned my hand controls a bit...

    My arms are killing me

27.5. I'll try letting a little out at a time. I'm a heavy guy so always worry about trashing the rims. Low skills and heavy weight... Thanks

    My arms are killing me

Thanks. No, I didn't get a bike fit since I bought online (only option during rona). Gripping too tight is definitely something I likely do. I feel like I'm loose but loose to a noob is tight to someone more experienced. Someone asked about tires, yes they are tubeless but I'm a big (fat)...

    My arms are killing me

Ok so as I get into mtb I was expecting sore legs but man my arms are killing me after the technical rides. My newest route is through LewisMorris (green, orange, red and a little yellow) then up through Dismal Harmony to the power lines to behind Bill's luncheonette before heading home...

PSA Trailforks pro discount ends on 9/30

I just use Garmin connect. If I get lost on a trail then I just keep going. Figure heck, exploring is half the fun for me.

What have you done to your bike today?

BTW, not really giving up. Just annoyed with myself over a few too many screwups lately. Figured I dropped so much on parts that maybe having it done right makes sense. Did get my new wheelset from Dave Thomas today though. He built me a set 2002 for my last bike and I still have them.

What have you done to your bike today?

Does it count if I dropped my ebeater off at the bike shop? I'm at the point where I'm about to give up trying to learn wrenching. I bugger up more than not.

    Lewis Morris Conditions

I've never quite found my way up to Schiff. I do know that further down Roxiticus there is the Mosle Preserve and then someone on the right there is a Patriots Path sign but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. What I tend to do is take Patriots into Mendham, pass the mudhole then go right up...

What have you done to your bike today?

Oh I'm 100% NOT sure it's on right. Bike came with NX and shifted like junk although I am the master suck when it comes to adjusting correctly. One of the many reasons moving to ASX X01 was that I don't want to drop the motor every time a shifting cable would have to be replaced. I wanted...
