I was last there on Friday and there was only a single tree down on the 2012 race loop that was a simple "duck under and go" in the switchback portion near the south tip. Seems that it's in good shape other than the couple fire roads are torn up from (I assume) trucks that came in to repair...

I had a great time for my second Cat3 race, and I did hit one of my goals "don't be last" this time! wooo hooo. Was also glad to be in the hunt, within a minute of the guy in front of me, rather than a Jungle being 7+ minutes behind (same guy one spot ahead of me both races). The course...

Trails were in great shape IMHO, the only mud was at the bridges/stream crossings. Rest of the place was dry and smooth. I got a measly 5.9 miles in, getting lost halfway through the race course and doubling back as it was already past 8:30pm and getting dark fast. I had two "first...

For the Cat3 race, I was starting to think I had mistakenly entered a dirt bike /motocross race with my bicycle by the depth of mud & ruts. Course markers and yellow tape were completely unnecessary by the afternoon with the course defined by slime!

Im going to ride one day after work and likely saturday morning this weekend if you want to meet up with our normal group. I kinda want to ride Jungle Habitat now after seeing the video of the course. I only got to see a little bit of the course while shooting photos at the race.

I too am from Blairstown. I had a Trek 820 once, I think I got in 5th or 6th grade (88-89). Hit up Kittatinny on Rt 206 south of newton when you get a chance. totally different than allamuchy/deer park.

Nice work!:D The way utah explained the situation to me, seems you bent that wheel in the same manor I bent the first one. Not an "impact drop" in the sense that most people think about "6foot drop". That was a super steep incline but your weren't jumping off it, but trying to ride down it...
