I should clarify, the non-contact "pro" version is more desirable for a carbon frame since they have something called version 2.0 which is still frame mounted.

Fwiw, I had the 1st version shotgun seat that clamped to the frame. I always had concerns it could damage the top tube where it put pressure directly on it since the carbon was kinda thin there. Nothing ever happened but it could depending on the bike and kid weight. I think they realized this...

Best part of the whole process was immediately going to the local Pizza joint next to the outpatient center after the procedure. Nothing like pounding a few slices while still dopey from that anesthesia high just prior. Lunch had a very college esque feel to it that day.

Sounds like fun. On a related note, reminds me of being in disney recently and being fascinated by the amazing quality and detail of the set builds in the theme areas. Cool to see what artisans can build outside of stick framed McHouses and brutalist commercial space.

Here right now, everything is pretty much dry, just a two or three soft spots in the entire park. Except for the pond. Do not go by the pond. Maybe if flooded or whatever, but the grassy area is underwater and you will perish there.

On the upside, that antiviral package they give you really takes the edge off the symptoms. I don't feel like I need to be bedridden during this initial 5-day stretch. However, there's really not much you can do anyways being in isolation.
