Liked that area but was gonna be making the commute a little longer than would like. It’s not final, but looks like gonna end up in the southern part of West Milford.

Been down in the area about a month, Not final yet, but looking like it’s gonna be the Ringwood/ West Milford area. Have been having fun riding in Ringwood, Ramapo and Jungle Habitat over the past month. Commutes only gonna be 20-25 minutes. Should be a good fit.

Hahah, the move happened and have been in Jersey about a month now. Regarding Worcester, main reason I could see people touting it as the next “hip” spot to live, is the cost of living in the metro Boston area is so high, Worcester must look like a bargain.

Rode a loop from Ramapo/Top of Skyline Dr to Ringwood and back the other day, was a solid loop. Def have been having fun learning the area.

Fortunately, I only drive to work 3 days a week, and would be on the road by 6AM, or after 7PM. From what I’ve been told, I’ll be driving to work before traffic gets bad in the mornings, and that in the evenings it should be cleared up by the time I’m heading home. Can relate to the bad...

Something like that would work, while I get to know the area. As much as I’d rather buy and only move once, I think I will rent for the first year, since I’ve have never lived down that way.

Yeah, that area looks like it would be right in the middle, and sounds like those would be the trails I’d be wanting to ride.

Yeah, I’m noticing the rental market is a bit different than the Northshore of MA. It appears to be a lot of apartment complexes, and not the tenements I’m used to. Hoping to find something to rent, that’s not part of a complex.

I won’t be commuting into the city, so fortunately that won’t be a concern.

Cool, was down there not too long ago and was checking out the area, looked at some places north west of Wayne and it seemed pretty nice out there. Curious how the traffic commuting to Wayne on 287, 202 and skyline drive is.

Yeah, will be factoring biking into where I live. Usually ride 4 days a week, and don’t want to be driving 45 minutes to get to good trails. That’d be 1.5 hrs round trip in the car, really don’t want to be doing that 4 days a week just to get to trails I like. Some of the areas you mentioned...

Yeah, gonna have to pass on that area.

No kids and don’t plan to have any, so I don’t need to worry about the schools.

Yeah, very likely will rent for the first year, but would be nice to move once not move again in 12 months. In the end though I think renting does make the most sense. Would not be ideal to commit to a home/mortgage and 6 months later realize it’s not in an area I want live in.

Looks like the commute would be to an area labeled Haledon on the map, near High Mountain Park Reserve. I’m not too familiar with the area yet.
