Day off tomorrow... how are the trails? Is everything a muddy mess from all this recent rain?

Ive parked at Kingwood Boat Access just outside of Frenchtown. Took the second car 15-20min down the road to another boat launch and parked it. That took us 4.5hr. It is a slow river most times. We had Walmart tubes and they did just fine.

The 130 front 110/120 rear bikes are really the sweet spot for the common man doing common things. In my opinion anyway. Tallboy, Django, Horsetheif, 429 Trail, new Stumpjumpter ST, and many more.

Tallboy owner here. I have 27.5+ and 29 wheels for the bike and swap them out pretty frequently. 29 is more fun when you are out there hammering it. When they're up to speed you can really roll over stuff. The plus set up is more fun at casual speeds for sure. Bigger margin for error, much more...

Ringwood & Sterling most often. Ive taken it to Hartshorne a few times, it really flies there when you can get some speed up.

I dont have a suggestion beyond those two shops. But I can tell you I demo'd a Tallboy at TBW... then bought it after the ride. I had no intentions of purchasing a bike that day. Man do those bikes sell themselves.

I have Race Face Indy knee pads. I like them quite a bit and dont find them super restrictive. But... like most responders, I dont wear them too often. I parked at Shepard yesterday, around noon. No fee collection in sight. The school is always guaranteed free though, and im my opinion, closer to the better trail in the park.

That cat5 bag is pretty jazzy! After reading through this I went and got myself a husky soft-side tool bag for all the tools & spares. Then I use a duffel for anything I'm going to wear & eat. Big upgrade from the ziplock bag of clanging tools & parts.
