    2021 Pivot Switchblade Pro X01 - Large

Thanks Tim. I saw a bike at Halters that I really wanted. Now I have two newer bikes and know I will only ride one of them. It's interesting that even if we already have the perfect bike, and know it, we still want to try something different, or just want to buy another bike. Tim.

Wanted to Borrow (or buy) Garmin Edge 705

Does anyone have a Garmin Edge 705 near the Princeton area that I could borrow for a couple of hours? My 705 usb upload port has died. I could transfer my rides using the ANT+ transfer between devices and then connect to your 705 to get the files. Or, if you have one to sell, let me know. Tim.

Garmin Edge 705 and Mapping Software

I have read through most of this thread and am still confused about a few things on the 705. 1. If I order the base unit w/o additional maps, is it still useful for general road navigation? 2. Even with the small screen, can it still help you find your way home w/o having loaded...

    Chain Slip

Another Reason to Support your LBS... Especially Halters. He easily could have been sold a new cassette even though he didn’t need it. How many shops would have taken the time to measure and inspect his cassette?

    Thudbuster LT

"It is all about the parking lot test ride. They make the bike "feel" faster in the lot but they can't be good in the woods." Didn't Cannondale have the opposite problem with the Prophet? They came with slow, sticky 2.3 Maxis High Rollers that were terrible in the parking lot but better on...

How old is old enough for a bike trailer?

Yes it is Great bike. Bought it new in 1991 in State College, PA. It is a rigid M700 with the 'pepperoni fork'. I rode that bike all through Roth Rock for years weighing over 250 at the time, and never so much as a creak out of the frame. Looking back I can't believe it could handle...

How old is old enough for a bike trailer?

Depends on the kid The attached picture is from awhile ago when my little girl was almost 2yo, like 1 3/4 and the boy was almost 5. I even pulled my girl on some of 6-mile run single track...until she started crying too much for me to enjoy the ride.:( Sometimes my wife would even make me...

    need for wayfinding signage?

    need for wayfinding signage?

I like the water fountian idea! How about some street lights. This could save us all a lot of money on bike lights. And then, we could pave the trails...they are sort of bumpy with all the roots and what not.:) Tim.

    Bike Fitting/Handling Help

You're not helping I concede to your awesomeness:rolleyes: However, If it's not for lack of technique nor equipment, what is it....Magic? How many people have to pull their chest to the handlebars to maximize their speed through the turns? Tim.

    Bike Fitting/Handling Help

Thanks for the reply "do you think you are leaning the bike more into the turn when you are down that low? it could be that you are going into the turns with a more aggressive lean holding yourself low (lowering your center of gravity) versus if you were sitting upright and not feeling as...

    Bike Fitting/Handling Help

I have been reading all the discussions on bike fitting/tweaking, especially fogerson’s, and would like the forums opinion. Sorry upfront for the long post. I am 6’1” 220lbs and have a Large Cannondale 29er that I absolutely love. When riding chimney rock, six mile run, and hartshorn...
