I'm on my second GF/Trek Rumblefish II. Very versatile bike; especially with a gravity dropper seatpost.

I run the Ralph's as a 29er tire and friend has them in 26". Very predictable traction and they shed mud well. Obviously you can't beat the weight to size ratio.

In the two I listed as guided we offer tours day by day and you're on your own at night. We can also guide Moab if needed. Drop me a line: matt AT hermosatours DOT net.

Early May, here are areas worth riding: - Fruita/GJ - Durango (by May there will be 2-3 days of great riding and we will be guiding then) - Moab - Hurricane/Zion (we start day tours here March 1st if you're interested)

Yeah, gotta say that despite my strong allegiance to the West, this latest issue of BIKE made me want to check out the East. Good stuff.

Yeah, this has always been a major attraction to 29" hoops for me. No more Stan's sprayed all over the garage. :)

$0.02 - running tubeless with 29" tires is less important than with 26". You can run sub-30psi with tubes on 29" and for the most part, still avoid pinching due to the larger footprint.
