    Tariffs...what to make of them.

Well... looking at the O-chain website, most are 385 Euros (about $446) plus 25 Euros for shipping, so I'd WAG the $54.75 is on the $446, since the duty is on the declared value of the goods. So... about 12% on the declared value?

    The Guitar Player Thread.

I have so many pedals is almost comical. I've literally kept every pedal I've ever bought back to the Boss ME-5 that I bought back in the late 80s that was my first pedal. What's really amusing is how I generally play straight into an amp and rarely use pedals... But I keep buying the damn...

Suitable compressor for seating tubeless tires

Have you double checked the rim tape on the wheel? Sometimes it can get damaged during tire removal and it's also possible that it was compromised during a tire installation. If there is a hole in the tape or it gets shifted a bit, the wheel may not seal no matter what you do. I have even...

    The Guitar Player Thread.

Cool looking guitar. I've never tried an 8 string (I have enough trouble with 6...), but I'm sure I'll get one someday. It seems like a fanned fretboard design would work well for an 8 string?

What have you done to your car today?

I'm a bit surprised Rockauto doesn't sell the hub and knuckle as an assembly. Or maybe it's available through wholesale vendors. When time is money, I can see pro shops going the quick & easy route vs. fighting with a rusted in bearing for an hour...

Well, I only hate my current rack when I use it.... velocirax? One Up? What am I missing.

One of my teammates in DC has a velocirax and we've used it a few times. He found by using a cut length of inner tube over the grip & lever to clamp the brake brakes on it seems to reduce the amount of wobble.

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

O'Sullivan's Stout with a side of Firmly Rooted. I was hoping the Saison would have more of a barrel aged flavor, but it was reasonably good for the style.

What have you done to your car today?

Front wheel bearing? To be honest... I'm getting a tinge of PTSD from doing that job on my 2003 Jetta... even with all of the special tools to do it, it was still a PITA... made worse by the SUPER-specific torque procedure... that if you got even slightly wrong meant you were doing the same...

What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

I think I got it from The Beer Store - Philadelphia in the Franklin/Philadelphia Mills shopping complex. They have sooo much really interesting and rare stuff if you like dark beers. I think the shop owner crapped himself when I rolled up to the counter with my literally overflowing cart...

    The 2025 Lawn Thread

Not me... my back yard is pretty much completely covered. I don't rake them up. They sit and cover the grass until they either blow away or I mulch them with the mower in the Spring.

    E-bikes are a thing

I know Guys sells and services e-bikes. One of my friends ended up taking her Heckler to them to get fixed when her local shop couldn't do it. I haven't been there in a while to talk to Bob to get an idea of how many they actually sell. They have some upstairs, but it seems their business has...

    E-bikes are a thing

If commuting by bike was a viable option for me, I would definitely be looking for a Class 3 (28mph) e-bike. Oddly enough, if I wanted to do that, I'd probably transfer back to the NJ office in Somerset as getting to that office by bike would arguably be safer than any of the near-suicidal...

Let's hear some opinions about the current gravel bikes

I keep debating about this as well... for me, riding gravel would be work. There just isn't enough of it near me to justify a dedicated gravel bike. What I really want is more of an "all-road" bike that is better for longer rides than my GT Grade. Basically, I want a frame with more bottle...

What have you done to your car today?

I need to get one of those kits for the MINI... those headlights are really cloudy... And because the car has the cold weather package with the pop-out headlight washers as well as HID Xenon main lights, replacements are NOT cheap. NLA from Rockauto. $1300 EACH from Pelican... At this point...
