    Dirt Roads - Sparta Area

The areas you would be interested in are all in Delaware National Rec Area, and you can combine for some epic rides up into Stokes and High Point.

    Dirt Roads - Sparta Area

Dirt Roads, really only two (and neither are destinations) in the immediate ballpark of Sparta unless you get out towards the Delaware River. Your best bet if you want easy dirt would be the rail trail/pipeline 12 mile loop. You can pick it up in Lafayette. Sussex Branch Trail north, bang a...

    Post Your Fridge Magnets

I am partial to my banana slug. We picked it up in NorCal somewhere. The back story is when we would go on hikes we would have a banana slug competition to see who can spot the most banana slugs on a hike as a way to keep our son engaged in the hike. This worked anywhere from Monterrey, Ca up...

Anyone going to be up in the Sparta ballpark? I have a few bikes to donate and probably a few wheel sets. I need to clean out the basement.

    2018 njcx race lineup

The 2:45 start time will be challenging family-wise but I will try. If only I was a cat 4,then I could race at 8:30am.

The Kalmyk's Tinfoil Hat Happy Hour (aka Most Useless Thread on MTBNJ)

I am keeping an eye on the local NJ races for this fall but conflict but conflicts with soccer and hockey schedules is brutal. I think I just need to train like I will be racing and simply be happy with racing whenever it fits into my schedule. It seems like the local races for me are later in...

    Used car advice

Yeah, Hi! I have had two Q5s, a 2009 3.2 and a 2016 TDI. The 3.0 TDI on the Q5 is the same engine as the diesel Q7, but you would be hard pressed to find a diesel these days. I just drove a 2.0T as a loaner while my car was in for service, and found it a bit underpowered but otherwise was great.

James Pearl Thinks Blogging is Dead

What really took a hit for me is spending 1/2 to 3/4 of a day driving to a cx race on a weekend. In the fall in particular, Logan tends to have hockey games on Saturday (which I am the head coach of his travel team) and travel soccer games on Sunday. Training wasn't a problem bc I would do...

    Ride single file or else

Would it be any different if it was a farm tractor or a horse and buggy? Cars don't get priority passes on the road. Wait 10 f-in seconds and pass safely.
