What non-alcoholic beers have you tried?

I bought this cuz they have banners all over the cyclocross races in Belgium. It might be the first thing Belgium ever got wrong.

    Saddle Help

I ended up with a SQLabs saddle that eliminated soreness more than any other I've ridden. Even if you don't go with one, I found their website to be very informative. Much of my earlier discomfort was caused by my pubic bones, and not my sit bones. Helped in selection and setup. YMMV.

    Baldpate Conditions

Went for a quick run today. Ridgeline trail was mostly dry, although I'm sure that the lower trails are flowing. There were a couple of crews from a tree service on the trail today. They are taking down all the ash trees due to an Emerald Ash Borer infestation. Ridgeline looks like Neshaminy did...

What non-alcoholic beers have you tried?

I have been sticking with the Clausthaler Original and Dry Hopped. I'm a straight pilsner guy, so I don't tread far at all into the IPAs. I'm going through 8-10 per week. The taste is better for food pairing than most other options, and it is consequence-free. That being said, its not helping...

    The Sober Shredder Thread

I just finished installing recessed lighting and hanging ceiling drywall in my kitchen. Total with but its looking better than I could have ever hoped for. MAN I'd like to crack open a beer as just stare at my handiwork for a bit. But I'm about 80 days in, so I'll grab a fake beer, do some...

What have you done to your bike today?

Did my first brake bleed last night. Easy enough. Fire to the pads while they were off to burn off any possible contamination. Now I have to silence the squeal.

Clipless MTB Shoes for Skinny Feet

I also have small, skinny, ballerina feet. I'm 6'2" and wear a men's size 9. For my running shoes, I've switched exclusively to wearing woman's shoes (W 10.5). Yes, they're strong enough for a man, but made for a woman. They fit so much better, and I can actually tighten the laces. It's a...

Whats your current "goto" exercising drink?

I use water with a few dashes of Morton's Lite Salt. It contains both salt and potassium. It's like swimming west of the Route 70 bridge on the Manasquan.

    Q: Trainer for kids

Thanks for the information and for some VERY generous offers. Right now I am trying to assess the landscape. I know most wheel-on trainers won't work with kid's tires. It looks like the new (unavailable) and older (no longer made) wheel adapters for the Kinetics are not a viable option, at least...

    Q: Trainer for kids

One of my friends has a 10 year-old son who was very active. Two years ago, they located a tumor, but only after he lost his sight. His sight has not returned. For the most part, he is healthy and energetic. Last spring I got them an Adams Trail-A-Bike and set it up for them. It was really the...

Things that make you smile :)

My 15 year old son is doing high school all remote. He's doing pretty well, but he keeps getting off task and playing games or he goes on YouTube. I went to confront him this morning by opening the browser history. All of his off-task sites were YouTube videos, and all from my music collection...

    The Sober Shredder Thread

50 day chip. I think it'll be much more awkward/difficult in nice weather, social gatherings, poker nights, etc, but its good to build a solid foundation. Thanks to all who are participating in this thread.

What have you done to your bike today?

I think I’m done for now(?) Just installed the Trans-x dropper with a Wolftooth lever. It is smooth on the lower and surprisingly fast on the return. Fixed my wheel issues this weekend. Installed Fox 34 110 travel fork a few weeks ago. all tires re-filled and reset on the rims. Just need to...

40 for me. Whether you've given it up entirely, or limited yourself, or are off and back on the wagon, or just had one less once or twice, I give everyone credit for trying to tackle something that has many seen and unseen reinforcers. I'm in this for the foreseeable future. I haven't seen the...

    Single speed stumper

I just took this back to the LBS. that originally trued the tire and set it up SS for me. The real culprit was that the axle was reinstalled backwards! Quick enough fix, but I couldn’t figure it out. thanks for the info here. I’m much smarter now than I was last week.

    Let’s talk dropper posts

Super helpful... thanks. I've been squirreling away bike upgrade funds after getting a new fork, waiting to get the PNW Pine . I could get the Tranz X dropper and upgrade to either the Loam or WolfTooth lever for less than the price of a PNW Pine alone? Win!
