They may have re-routed around it, or I was using a collection of older maps. It was about 3 years ago, I found the adventure fun, but the riding was not worth the time and effort so I never went back.

Entering in from the Manor is the best bike permitted route.It is tough to navigate, I had to piece together multiple maps to figure it out and trail markers barely exist. You also need to ride through a toxic waste dump. I wound up exiting by lake behind the JH Compound.

I’m 5 10, ride a large Ripley LS. 5 9 could go either way, as the thinking goes, bigger for stability, smaller for playfulness. I generally prefer to size up when I am on the line.

Ringwood was excellent yesterday and today. It was starting to thaw towards the end of the ride today. I think best bet is to ride early otherwise its going to make that hard shift to thaw mud. Hi temps and rain at the end of the weeks will shut things down for a while I think.

It’s winter riding conditions, not muddy, but standing water.

We are looking clear up in ringwood again, will take a day or two to dry out, after that cold early mornings should be just fine.

any best guess on how long it will take to dry out after this rain? I.e. Is the drainage good?

Anyone have any feedback on how Hartshorne did with this storm? I am up in ringwood and we are buried.

You need a permit to drive a car/truck back there, such as a the one they offer for downed tree/firewood removal. I can’t imagine it is different for dirt bikes, aside from the fact that I cannot imagine a dirt bike would be used to clean up and remove downed trees.

Agreed, I see the truck there all the time, vanity license plate. The crowds in the Ryerson lot always pick up over the weekend. I have seen guys drinking beers and smoking cigarettes post ride many times (smh), don’t people realize it is a school and they cannot drink beers in the parking lot...

I agree with mr. moto. Higher trails drain real quickly. They are lung busters though..
