2019-20 ski / snow board season

Had an absolute blast this weekend at mad river glen..... One of the few places in VT I have never been too. I have only ever been to two places in the east that I would say remind me a little of skiing in the west... Jay and smuggs... But MRG definitely made that list.... LOVE. the base was still thin but there was a decent amount of snow all day Saturday and today... This morning we got to the top early and the conditions were pretty solid. Needs more snow but the terrain.. Trees, rocks, woods, moguls, no grooming.... I felt right at home.. Thats my kind of skiing.

Weekend weather put a serious beat down on the east coast.

Shawnee was beat up by the end of the day yesterday. Still enjoyed being out there making turns under a blue bird sky.

Sugarbush is on tap this coming weekend with some snow forecasted.

If you like powder, get to Utah. So awesome, and the easiest and least expensive trip in the Rockies.

Another great, lesser known and totally local feeling place is Targhee (over the pass from fancier Jackson Hole). We are headed to Killington tomorrow morning to see what this weather might have delivered...

+1 on Targhee. Amazing ski terrain + a bonafide fatbiking network right from the lodge.

+2 on targhee, lots of soft snow there. And the best ski/on/off deals anywhere.

I was at Killington and the weather produced large crowds and way too many lift problems.

Nice! I will be there Saturday! then snowbird Sunday, deer valley?, probably Monday and solitude or Brighton on Tuesday. Then work for out there on Wednesday, with a another day at deer valley for Thursday.

Ski season has treated me very well so far this season, I’ve got 21 days on skis thus far at Loon, Killington, Stratton, Sugarbush, Wachusett, Shawnee, Tremblant, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, A-Basin, Copper Mountain, and Winter Park. I’ve got some of the highlights attached... and might even be moving out to the Teton Valley to finish the season skiing Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee and 5 days at Big Sky.
