We are out in Denver and people are skiing but it’s super windy (per Instagram).

I’ve got some old red Atomic AC30s as beater skis for the East. and I got some nice new ones for Jackson Hole last year but I forget what they are because I didn’t ski this past season.

Flat Light with Blizzard like conditions. ( 1st 2 photos are Moguls and with flat light and goggles covered with wet snow you do not see many of them, until you are flying over the top)

But the Bumps were not Groomed and there was no wind in the Trees.

Catskills conditions are very good.

Was cleaning out my closet over the weekend.... Funny part is this cost $99 back then and I remember my dad making me pay half.

Wow, that was my ‘peak’ Skiing period, years ‘88 to ‘95 , before I moved to Florida for the first time. Every time I see my Volkl P9 SL permanently parked in my parents’ garage in Italy it saddens me...to put things into perspective they are slalom skis at 2.05 meters length correctly sized for a 5’11” dude back then. Before that I had 2.15 m Fischer giant slalom skis. Volkl was a better fit because they were more rigid and at 180 lbs I was considered 'heavy' back then...once I got over the 200 lbs mark I did not trust myself on skis anymore. What would be the correct length skis these days?

Lol Too bad it's not real... I was actually in the gondola the day his son crashed the helicopter at the base of the mountain and was killed.... I'll never forget that experience

Another chuckle-worthy ski pass....me at about the same time....this was when they got you not only for the cost of a lift ticket, but you had to be certified first by an instructor, and pay extra for the privilege. Thankfully tickets back then were like $20. Not as good as a $99 season pass out west, though.
