Garmin and Phone; Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey Folks,

So I just picked up a Garmin and cannot get it to communicate with Garmin Connect. It shows as connected on my IPhone and Garmin unit. In advance you should that I recycled the connection, restarted phone and gps, and deleted the GC app and reinstalled it.

Have you hard reset GPS to factory? Garmin firmware sucked in my experience. The latest 510 firmware killed mine and had to revert back to an old one to make it work a little longer until Wahoo.

Yeah. So it pairs to my phone (which is what you see there) but the unit will not show up as an available device.

@Patrick Checked the unit and it’s on software version 4.2. Accordingly to Google that is the latest. But I’m still going to give it a run.

@Magic that’s my last resort. I don’t want to lose my ride I did today. I know it’s totally me but I really don’t want to manually put the activity.

Erased the ride I did yesterday and it paired right away. Weird!

The text messaging and call features are not a fit for me. I’d like it if functioned as a head unit for music.
