US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine have held a news conference at the Pentagon.

Hegseth’s speech included the following claims:

  • The US-Israeli war on Iran achieved “every single objective”, including the destruction of its navy, air defence system, missile production capability.....
  • The ceasefire deal with Iran means Tehran “will never ever possess a nuclear weapon”.
  • Iran’s new leadership “begged” for a ceasefire because it was “was out of options and out of time”.

Facts...

4 days ago Iran fired 80 missiles at JUST Israel.....after nearly 40 days of firing missiles....How destroyed are their missile capabilities?
Friday their destroyed air defenses downed an A10, F15 and 2 reaper drones
With or without their destroyed navy, Iran managed to keep one of the most important waterways on earth closed
Iran will never have a nuke...well...with no sanctions on oil sales and the ONE guy who made a fatwa against nukes now dead....were sure about this? NK, China, Pakistan would never sell them one? Since we have now given them the power to close the strait....sure, we could bomb and site they start building, but they can close the strait again.....
Pistol petes last point is absurd.....We made it TOTALLY clear...We wont bring our navy near the strait....we won't damage Irans oil producing capabilities (because it would make our oil more expensive)...and we won't put an army on Iranian soil.....We had no cards left to play. Bibi sold trump a bill of good thats killing the Ayatollah was all that was needed and that plan obviously backfired spectacularly

It's amazing how quickly the behind-the-scenes fabric was destroyed by simply firing anyone who advised against showing the hand. The system of checks and balances is so fragile, and it needs the respect of institution to work. Which we all know this administration lacks.

I'm concerned with 5,10,15 years down the line both home and abroad. One of the many poor legacies of this administration will include the birth of a new pendulum of redoing and undoing the institutional changes with every new administration. The institutional knowledge that went out the window with the elimination of senior officials will never have time to recover under that sort of environment.

That leaves whatever foreign vacuums we've been keeping in check (for right or wrong) to be filled by adversaries and/or China. I'm not sure I want to know what that looks like in 15 years. While it's not a pretty thought to acknowledge the Western way of life has it's costs abroad, this does not bode well long-term for anyone.

So Israel today has blown up many things in Lebanon, including a funeral....Iran is saying it shot down an Israeli drone...Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, etc are saying they are under attack by drones

Ceasefire seems to be going well....

But the Dow is up over 1000 points as I type this... just in time for insiders to sell before his next tirade and the market drops again tomorrow... so... mission accomplished.

2 million per ship in crypto. Now when all said and done with around 130 ships a day go through the Strait. That is a shit load of money Iran
