what do you read?

I felt like Christine was a better book than movie, and it is a good movie! Tommyknockers seems lower on most lists, but is a personal favorite cause scifi. The Stand was hard to put down.
Wow. Like 40+ years ago now....
Agree about Christine and Tommyknockers. I'll add Dreamcatcher for the same reason. And I can't believe I forgot to add The Stand lol.

I just restarted The Expanse stuff. I got 4 books deep and gave up for Red Rising, so I'm giving it another go.

King....when I was younger I read everything by him. My unsolicited list is: The Shining, Misery, the Bachman Books, Pet Sematary. The whole Dark Tower series starts out really good, even goes ahead and does some world building regarding the book you read, but ultimately was a letdown for me.
Will need to look into Dark Tower series, that was also recommended by @stb222 I’ve got The Shining and Pet Sematary on the mental list too.

I've never actually read a Stephen King book. I am, however, nearly finished his son, Joe Hill's, latest book King Sorrow. It's really hard to put down.

For those of you who are Stephen King-curious, I highly recommend Night Shift, King’s first published collection of short stories. I’m pretty sure I’ve already mentioned this book around these parts, however many years ago.

I feel like wizard and glass (number iv) was the best of the series and then there was a huge gap in time until he finished them. And then after the whole thing was done he did wind through the keyhole (4.5) and it was good too.

The comic book series tied it together for me but i lost track after the first few story lines. Again, the best ones being the wizard and glass versions.

I only ever listened to the Mr. Mercedes series, and. that was good...

No joke, it's a lot. There is 1 aspect of it that I don't like, which I will not talk about here. But still it was easily a 5-star book for me. I put it on the table next to my bed and I only read at night. I said I would basically just try to read 2 pages a night, and whatever else I got to, was a bonus. In the end I probably read almost 30 pages a night because it was so well-written and engaging.
I started this on Sunday and I’m about 1/3 through already, though I normally wouldn’t be moving at this quick of a pace. The holiday time off plus everyone in the house being sick has afforded me the extra time. I’ve also listened to a bit of it and thankfully the narrator is good which is making it mostly easy to follow.

I’m liking it so far and agree it’s well written and tough to put down. I’m curious about the aspect you don’t like, but I could take a few guesses at this point. Is it plot related or something in the story telling?
