He's talking about a recirculation pump for the hot water heater. You can use this same type of pump to keep the water in your hot water lines hot all the time, like Pat said.

Sure. They can't self prime and are 1/32 HP.
Probably produce 6" of head.
The 15psi on the gauge is the weight of the column of water in a two story building.

I guess it is a class of pumps...

Yeah, hot water dedicated loop for faucets, showers and such. It was originally the model home for our development so it has quirky things like this and 12" on floor joists. Guess half of the loop has 20yo water...Screenshot_20251118-225706.pngPXL_20251119_034240115.MP.jpg
 
Spent the day painting bedrooms with my 8yo and 5yo. Nobody stepped in the roller tray and only one of them got paint in their hair so I guess it was a win. We did 2 walls at a time since most of the furniture stayed in the rooms. That means this turned into a 2 day job, but to ease the pain I finished all of the cutting in w/ 2 coats. Also, tomorrow the house will be fully staffed with 2 adults so the rest should go pretty fast.

And for all of the time I took to nicely cut in the trim they just bulldozed over it anyway 🤣

No plans to make it a cedar closet. This will mostly be storage for my girls off-season clothes/shoes/whatever else. Maybe throw a beanbag chair in there for a reading nook or something.

Mostly finished it this weekend, used paint left over from other projects and put 2 inch trim as a baseboard just to finish it off as I had some leftover in the garage and only had to buy one piece (holy hell trim is expensive right now!). My OCD was clicking a little bit that I didn’t caulk the top of the baseboard.
Got a carpet remnant from Ollie’s and just stapled it down at the corners, couple wavy sections if they really don’t chill out, I’ll revisit it.

Up Next is refinishing the door that goes into this closet and figuring out shelving and bars for hanging.

nicest finished closet ive seen in a while. well done. good thing @Red Mosquito 's girls didnt help paint near the baseboard trim 😁
