Bring a Trailer - OMFG or On Topic

I have a buddy who is selling a 2008 Saturn Sky redline convertible. 27k miles. One owner. His father moved beyond driving abilities and hasn’t touched it for a few years. Is this a lemon or a gem?
That’s got a bit of a cult following especially since it’s the redline version.

Check BAT for comps.

This is amusing to me... because my ex- in NJ bought a twin of this car new back in 2019. Same exterior color. Same interior. Same manual transmission. She didn't want AWD, but it was the only way she could get the manual transmission. FWD was apparently automatic only.

Proving the fast progressing of my mental decline, I have now become obsessed with the search for an original FIAT Panda 4x4. Plenty available in the motherland, a little more complicated over here. Anybody has any idea of what would cost to import one in the US? This thing is a blast in the snow and moderate off-road making the best use of its 999cc (later models upgraded to 1108cc), it used to be the go-to vehicle in rural Italy before farmers started to be poor and buying Land Rovers instead...

That doesn't surprise me a bit. Some years ago I saw a similar eBay listing for a 69 Charger with a $9999 BIN price. It looked even worse than this car - BUT - it had a VIN plate and a matching title. THAT is what you're buying. Everything else can be fixed.

I remembered Dynacorn was selling re-pop Challenger shells a few years ago but have since discontinued them. After a bit of google-fu, I found a discussion that said they only made 57 of them and it took them years to sell them all. General consensus in that discussion was YTF did they make new Challenger bodies when 68-70 Chargers are far more popular? Gotta agree with that sentiment...

As far as importing a Panda - really hard to say right now with all of the political crap going on right now. There are some JDM/Euro importers in the East Coast area you might try. Shipping cost used to be around $1000 for a typical small car, but I've heard that has gone up.

The definition of an "BAT OMFG" listing:

2020 Challenger with a B-body Charger Daytona carbon fiber re-body. Wow...

Bid to $224K as I post this with ~4 hours left and reserve not met. The proportions are a bit off compared to an actual 68-70 Charger, but still cool to look at. Shame about the automatic transmission... Cars like this can be tough to sell and not lose a shit-load of money. The buyer has to really agree with the builder's design choices since anyone who can afford to buy this car can probably afford to commission the builder to create exactly what they would want - which is pretty much what I'd do if I wanted this car and had the $$$$ to spend on it. How much? Being built-to-order, probably around half-a-million isn't hard. I found a similar car with an asking price of $368K.
