Not a great pic, but... Right, that's what I did in my mudroom, but now I wonder if I should bother. Seems like a waste to case it if it's smooth already.Stool 1st. Then rip some 1x and pack it out from window frame to flush with the wall. Then case with reveal on the packed out strip.
This is nice! Makes it great when theres a place to nicely mount the blind supports.
The blinds were just installed over the winter. We were still using temporary, cut to length, paper shades 14yrs after construction.
Will add, I was fine with the paper shades. Wife not so much. We finally bit the bullet and did it. F.F.S they are expensive, but so much better than the paper. 5 rooms with different colors.
I've been avoiding this discussion since we bought the house. I promise on it, but have yet to deliver.
