It's definitely softer for sure, and this may be the beginning of a recession which means money will become scarcer, especially cash so I would consider selling your bikes sooner than later. If the recession is deeper and longer similar to 2008, I wouldn't be surprised if a Pro Closet doesn't...

Yes, I agree with you there, the prices are coming down but there seems to be a floor, I might have to wait until the spring when I come into more money...although others might have more money as well around that time...perhaps January will be the time to strike since it is right before tax...

Actually I made the mistake of riding a new Trek on some trails on my trip to Virginia, rented it for the day and had a blast, it was a big difference from my old bike. But still, I do not ride enough, nor have the budget to spend 2500-3500 on a new bike, anyway us with our first world problems ;)

Agree Qclabrat, the frenzy and pandemic buying made every bike sellable, and at a premium, that is definitely gone. But yes, it does seem the more well known brands that are well specced out have more resilient elevated prices.
