Just got back last week. Pisgah - Black Trail. Stop at the Hub before and after for suggestions and craft brews. Black Mountain - Kitsuma Trail is great. Finished up the week in Dupont. Ridgeline and Hooker Creek trails are not to be missed.

Have an SE F@E which is pretty much the same great entry level fatbike. Experienced many flats with tubes. Converted to split tube on those Weinmans and only rolled a bead once in cold temps. Haven't tried the fatty strippers but plan to for the next wheel set. You'll enjoy riding it so much...

Yep - eerily similar to my story. Pre-rode an entire lap at a faster pace than usual. Felt good on the 1st and 2nd laps but on the 3rd lap my quads and hamstrings started cramping. Fought the pain back to the S/F line and reported my DNF to the official. Slunk back to the car and headed back...
