    Steel City Enduro

I have no affiliation with this race, but have done it in the past and it was a lot of fun. And I believe all reg fees go to the trails. Figured I would post for anyone that may have tried out Enduro Racing at Dickerson and enjoyed it. Its in PA but not far in. Stages are marked out. Steel...

BIG THANKS to all involved with putting this on. It was a lot of fun! Great to have a local NJ enduro.

Iron Mountain Enduro @ Dickerson Mine 9/7/25

I’m in, and somehow I convinced my daughter who is on a MTB hiatus due to XC-Running to join me for it....Winning!

Iron Mountain Enduro @ Dickerson Mine 9/7/25

Thanks! I’ve only ridden those trails a couple of times so even with a map it might be tricky for me to figure out. If anyone that reads this knows when the course is expected to be marked out that would be great. Thx!

The course isnt marked in any way yet is it? Assuming it’s not, when is it will likely be marked? Thx

    Dropper - What to buy?

I'm not fussy, and we have a bunch of different posts in the "fleet", but my daughter has a PNW Loam that has been great. I opened it up once to lube, but only because I wanted to change the travel. It's been through long wet races, never bound up or slowed (some of ours have). We have one...

    XT Brakes

I'm sure I've even hit the same set of pads with the torch multiple times. I have a lot of bikes in the garage that have the older 2 piston Shimano brakes, that sit for long periods of time. . The worst offenders are an old pair of XT brakes. I should probably just replace them at this...

    XT Brakes

do at your own risk, but I hit the pad with a propane torch to burn off the contaminants, then light sand with 150 grit. Clean brakes/rotor with alcohol and paper towels. reinstall and go. It usually works. Sometimes I don't clean anything, just hit the pads with heat, run them over...

What have you done to your car today?

Put rear shocks on my daughter's 8th gen Civic yesterday. One totally blown and one still working, left the car with a case of what she referred to as "the wiggles" over bumps. As an added treat, found/fixed a punctured tire. Started messing with her dead oxidized paint using the trunk as a...

Things that make you smile :)

Picked up a Trainer on her for free from Mare last June. My daughter has used it to warm up / cool down for literally every xc race she’s had since, except for the one time I forgot to toss it in the van which went over real well 😬. One of the best purchases I’ve made here and it was free...

Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

Bolt on axle to replace the qr on the old spank spoon hub on my DJ. Even with built in tensioners, the qr has moved on me and I’ve dropped the chain on the BMX track. Astonished I was still able to find the part. Loving the new Closeout LaBomba frame too…little extra reach compared to thenold...

    Nassau Trail conditions

I live in Town, and we didn't get much here. I took note of the level of my pool because it's low and I was expecting the rain to help it out, but it hardly looks like it changed. Unless we get more rain tonight, you should be fine tomorrow.

    1-1/8” headset bearing_FOUND

I usually just take the old bearing into a local shop to have them match it and sell me one. May pay a few bucks more, but it's easy and fast if they have it on hand.
