In some shoes that might be true as all of them don't fit the same. I have 2 different SIDI Dirt Bike Boots - both size 47 and one sticker US 12 and other US 12.5 Lake lists them as 13 and they fit like a generous 12. The boots are not super wide and I am switching to a Old Man Wide...
