I have maprika, I'll be sure to download the map. Part of the fun is getting lost!
Being a newbie to sand, is there anything I should do differently to prep the bike or even myself?
Ugh, yeah, my equipment is not exactly tailored for sand. Going to try and rough it a bit with my SS and save the FS for trips north.....and go to the dark side and buy a fat bike.
Used to be located in northern NJ, just relocated in December to Brick, NJ and looking for some new friends and riding areas.
See Allaire keep popping up, hope to get over there soon to check it out. I can even reciprocate and take people back north to ride at the places I used to haunt...
I had always used Shimano pedals and had zero issues. A year ago, I bought some Crank Brothers Egg Beaters pedals and love them just as much!. The CB pedals have a bit more float, never get packed with mud and are a snap to clip in with.
I run 20-22 psi and I weigh in at 170 - never seem to have an issue with rim strikes. I find if I run any lower, I do hit the rim and I experience more tire roll in the corners.
Thanks for the interest, but I'd rather not part it out at this time. If it doesn't sell, I may be changing the fork anyways, so I will keep you in mind if that should happen!
