That's a much newer model. Mine is a 27.5/26 mullet. They didn't move to that 157 rear end crap till the newer models.

Found a pair of Bontrager H2's in my stash, hybrid type of tread, 2.0 and 1.5. like new, only used on indoor trainer trainer a handful of times.

More than a few divisions of motorsports have played with electric shifting before it became a thing (and in my opinion a rather unnecessary thing ) on bicycles.

If I had went 2x I don't think top end would have been a problem, but for me, and where and how I ride it, the 1x and smaller front ring make sense. It's seen more Wayway fire road, Kittitinny,and Sussex Branch/P-Kill rail trail than what most consider "gravel". With the dropper, and MTB wheels...

I can't really understand why, unless you're seriously gravel racing, anyone would need anything more than this to enjoy "gravel riding".
