Conditions at SSF primo yesterday. Singletrack either bone dry or tacky. Hard to find mud anywhere.

    Tourne County Park Conditions

No offense and maybe you didn't know, but steering with the rear brake (while fun) is also a serious no-no when it come to not damaging the trails (especially when they're soft). Try not to do that.

    HIghlands Trail question

I know the HIghlands Trail (HT) is off limits to bikes, but I also had heard that when another (mtb) legal trail runs concurrent with the HT, that stretch of trail is OK to ride for the length of concurrence. Anyone know if this is true? Not sure where to go for an answer to this.

Rode SSF this afternoon. A little slushy and icy on some trails but not bad. Roads are covered with lots of treacherous ice. Single track is much better in most cases. I'd give it SSF 2 1/2 out of 4. BTW, new owners at the former Dark Horse Cycles. Really nice guys and shop looks great. They...

Looking at NY DEC website, it appears the deer and bear firearms seasons are over as of December 18. Park should be open for riding (?) can anyone confirm? Also conditions?

    White Clay Conditions

Try calling Henry's Bike Shop (Poly Drummond Rd, right near the park) Excellent resource for park conditions. Don't have their number handy, but easily found on I Net.

    Car-spotting thread

After riding Brandywine, went to Simeone Foundation Auto Museum in Philly. This guy collects exotic vintage race cars. Really primo stuff, open 7 days a week, admission $20. Bonus: very close to Wiss, Brandywine, and not far from White Clay.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Visitor Use Management Plan

Done. I know this park well, and adding mtb use would be great. More people join in and help make this happen please.

    Brandywine Creek State Park

Thanks, left for Philly before I got your latest, but I did find this spot. Was a little apprehensive as sign said "National Park" but saw other cars with racks there so we went in. We didn't have a map so we followed that trail down to a ped bridge, met some kids on bikes there and then turned...
