    Chimney Rock Conditions

I’m rarely one to support an eminent domain scenario but how can a private road lead to a public park? I feel like the easy decision would have been to acquire the existing road for public use….but I’m not an attorney so who knows the legal BS that goes along with that. Super disappointing

Could some of those wood chips be used to help fill and/or firm up notoriously wet and soft areas of the trail system? I’m not saying I want to ride on wood chip trails but some of the mud pit spots may benefit with wood chips mixed with soil.

    Lets talk spoke tension

I shouldn’t have to do that after three days. The black labels that came with my trail 429 were fine for years before needing a rebuild and they didn’t do this when they were whipped. Reynolds seems to agree there’s something wrong with them and are making good.

    Lets talk spoke tension

Having this issue and it’s pretty significant. Brand new Reynolds trail pro wheels on my new trailcat. Rear started singing three days in, and loud. Called the shop and they suggested the spokes stretched more than was anticipated. The wheel was re tensioned by a local shop twice and still...

Strange they would clear forest when there’s already a clearing and gated entrance at the bend. I always thought it had been a parking lot many moons ago.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Come up on three kids, maybe 13 on electric motos this morning. They were polite and not ripping it up but I still had to be “the old man” and remind them that it’s not legal. I know they don’t care but I still had to waste my breath. Trails were fast and very dry. A little loose in some corners.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Everything I did today was dry and good to go. The down tree I posted Wednesday was still there as of noon today (Friday). A big thank you to Kirt, Ryan and the high tech guys for trail mods completed today in the Cromwell section. A great idea to employ a technique that I’m sure will be stable...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

It was good today. Leaf litter is beginning. I feel like there was another tree down somewhere but I can’t remember where. I’m on like an hour of sleep so maybe it was a dream.

    Chain Wax Discussion thread

That’s one ugly stripper Read a review from a guy who was putting small parts (not bike parts) in a ziplock baggie full of his preferred cleaning product and putting that in his ultrasonic cleaner which was full of water. He said it worked the same but didn’t waste a bunch of cleaning product...

    Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Curious if anyone has any info on this incident. As you can see it happened last Sunday.
