In all seriousness OP, sorry to hear about your experience. Sounds like maybe you should've been riding a teeny bit more controlled (you went OTB for God's sake) and sounds like the dog owner should have had a little more respect. Both can be in the wrong. As far as "breaking the law", come on...

I mean I'd start with bleeding it before spending any money. You can find a blled kit on Amazon for cheap and a bunch of YouTube videos. A lot of these issues are simply due to air in the lines.
