I'm in! Very excited, my first practice!

Are there any races in the NJ/NY area that are particularly better for a beginner to race in compared to, perhaps, a race where most of the competitors are seasoned? I don't want to look like a complete joke!

Gahhhh, wish I checked this earlier...was just putting my wheels back on my bike thinking this was taking place tomorrow!! Well, next week, I suppose!

Just as an update -- Rutgers is not doing their CX clinic this year, unfortunately.

Any update on the Rutgers clinic? Haven't seen anything posted on their site.

Thinking of trying the New Jersey 'Cross Cup Event Sussex, NJ on 11/20 as my first cx race. Would this be a bad first race for whatever reason? I have zero experience but plan on taking the new bike out for a spin a couple times before then... I hope!
