I've seen really fat, heavy-duty bike chains for sale. I was told they're for BMX but I want to hear from anyone here if that's true. Why would you want a really thick chain and can mountain bikes use them? Do they fit on just fixed-gear bikes and do they fit all sprockets?

I won tires in a raffle but they are tubeless. I have a bike with tires with tubes. So, I need different rims. What brands have reliable/decent tubeless rims for a rider who is not a serious MTBer and has limited funds? Thanks.

Qs about what to wear if I'm a non-serious rider with no job/money -- what kinds of clothes work well for cool/cold fall/winter rides (that I might already own)? Long underwear, leggings, synthetic shirts? Layers, or is it too bulky? What do you guys do for hand protection? All I've got...
