    loud motorcycle question

I've had bikes fly up from behind me on the highway numerous times. The noise doesnt alert me to their presence so much as it scares the isht out of me as they pass. I see and hear them about the same time... as they're speeding away. This is the azzholes that are doing a buck ten or more and...

Upgrading my Superbly SS this winter. BEST wheels?

Honestly, I would get to your LBS and talk to them about a custom build. If they're any good, they will walk you through your priorities and get you the right wheelset at whatever your pricepoint is. For a grand or so, you're looking at a really nice set of handbuilt wheels. For SS hubs, I...

    White Clay

Yeah, I know Amy used to be a local and you just need to know the best way to connect the two. The people that specifically say "4 park ride" are the ones that typically live in the area and ride that stuff all the time... they'll know whats up. The 4 park ride is like a local rite of passage...

    santa cruz tallboy

Obviously some bikes are better than others for each individual, but for what it's worth, one of the guys I mentioned above is a roadie type XC racer and he is now trying to sell his 2014 Scalpel because he likes the Pivot 529C so much more.

    Found Garmin at Hartshorne

I wonder if you can reach out to garmin? Seems like they should be able to track down an owner and/or locate a lost or stolen unit based upon registration of the device. I guess the question is: Would they?

Elk Neck State Park (MD) is a nice campground option on the northern tip of the Chesapeake. If you plan out in advance, you can score a campsite overlooking the shipping channel, which is pretty cool if you like boats. You'd pass Iron Hill, DE (MASS Race) and Fair Hill, MD (MASS Race and...

You might consider the Pivot as a comparator. I have a three or four friends riding the 529 carbon and they really like them a lot. One of them was a die hard santa cruz guy and had several SC suspension bikes prior to buying a Pivot. The other two Pivot guys came from high end squishy bikes...

PRICE DROP SingleSpeed DT Swiss 240S Wheelset on Stans Arch EX Rims

350 is a silly deal on these. For the rear hub, you'll need to swap out the endcaps to accommodate the skewer you choose.

    french creek camping details

I will say that any of the four loops up top are great for riding to the trails. There's a trailhead on both sides of the road just past the guard shack that allows you to access both sides of the park. Coming from camp, you'll make a left just past the guard shack into the woods to cross over...

    french creek camping details

I've been a ton of times, but I've always been in a tent. I got a cabin last year, but I've never paid attention to the camper hookups, so I'm probably not much help. The sewage facilities are an eysore on the way out of the camp, that's all i know.

    Disc Brake/Rotor Upgrade Recommendations?

current versions of the SLX brakes are the same as the XT's, save for one minor adjustment ability. you can actually use that missing adjustment if you purchase a spare bolt in the right size as the lever body is the same. Could save you a couple bucks, but the XT's are pretty damned cheap...
