Just got back from route mentioned above and conditions are surprisingly really solid. No real mud to speak of, and corners weren't greasy. Tree down on Orange that could probably be taken out with a silky, and a large tree down on lower Red that probably needs a chainsaw. Someone buttered up...
So, I have an XT 9-speed cassette with the Wolf Tooth conversion to make it 10 speed 11-42 and a 36-tooth front ring. Will the medium cage size work for this or do I need the long one?
^ What @stb222 said, and that section's bomb. As to the section I originally mentioned, yeah, it just cuts down a bit lower on Blue (pre-Red) and seems to route around what tends to be a bit of a wetter section.
Anyone have an intel on the trail that effectively continues yellow when you cross blue? if coming from the lot on blue would be on the right. Hadn't noticed it before. Assume it's an alternate connection to red?
Just installed the RWC needle bearings after hearing all the raves about them on here. Haven't had a chance to ride yet but interested to see if any difference in small bump compliance.
I think some of the concrete chunks on the 27 side got shifted (or moved) around a bit. Noticed the same thing a month or so ago where there was a bit of a muddy rut that you got led into just before getting onto the first concrete blocks. Seems like someone repositioned it a few weeks back and...
