I’m in! Anyone stashing bottles? I haven’t been there before and it’s not a laps race.

Any downsides you can think of? I can see how they would be very useful going from bright light then going clear in a forest. Are yours polarized as well?

Great pics! I lived in Tucson from 99-2000, in the very top left of this pic you can see the enormous Leviathan dome and Wilderness Dome. There is incredible rock climbing on Leviathan Dome, right up the center on the North Face, and a little to the left on a route called User Friendly...

This is my strategy. I have one fox transfer factory, another as a spare for $130, and another Race Face (which is also a transfer) for $109. Three mtbs and I already totally wore the anodizing off a Trans X, so these will come in handy.

I’m in, first Cat 1 race. Of course there has to be 24 people. My claim to fame is that I won cat 2 45+ H2H last year. Looking at the cat 1 lap times, and now including the younguns, this is going to be an education!

I started out on a 32lb 150/140 (intense 951 trail) and it’s overkill for everything in NNJ except jumps and drops. Fun for that, but I don’t do any lift assist and it’s slow on the uphills. I also have a 130mm hardtail and that feels great for around here. No jumps or big drops mostly...

Wow. That is really impressive grit.

That’s a shame it cracked so badly from a small impact. But top tubes in general are thin. I can push on mine with my thumb and it yields.

Where are you located?

The avocados at my Costco are from Peru recently. They never ripen and are awful. I think they switched to Peru after the great Mexican avocado shortage. Hopefully this is temporary. About a buck each either way
