I recently found a sweet steel shogun that will become my commuter bike. It has some rust on the bottom of the driveside chainstay. Spencer mentioned he has covered rust like that with the stick-on chainstay protectors and that sounds like a good idea. I was also thinking of doing a tube wrap.
Is there anything I can do to help slow down the rust as I know you can't get rid of it? Scrub with WD-40? Rust stopping paint? Any suggestions would help.
