OOS MOGA

In April? maybe 200k.... but definitely not 300k. Either way, by the time April rolls around, I'll prolly be still hibernating
Doing the Cranbury route again for the 200k, only one climb and rest flat, though the beach headwinds were a mental challenge

I wanted to do this when you did it but I knew I couldn't pull it off.... not after being off the saddle for months. Also needed to dial in the fit for the CX bike.
Regardless... this is going to be painful

If I had more time
Make the time. I'm in class, volunteer in two foundations, teach stem classes to inter-city kids, do all my own yardwork and maintain 15 bikes. I don't watch much TV and listen to books on tape in the car to get some time back.

MrsQ doesn't like to cook so it's on me or we go out. Every two weeks, I spend one day cooking and freezing meals for dinner and the kids lunches. This weekend I made 3 soups, 2 stews and a sauce. Also, every other weekend I spend the day with my mom and dad in NYC. And once a month visit Grandma in Brooklyn. My weekends are really valuable to me so I try plan things out to utilize it to the fullest.

If it matters you will make the time.

It's good to go with others with experience. I ran into lots of flats and got lost in a few sections. The cue sheet was almost 10 pages long. Came in DFL, but was happy that I didn't give up. Hardest ride mentally, but learned a lot on the first one.

Haha, you didn't even list that you work and I am overwhelmed by your schedule. That is pretty insane, I am very impressed with your time management and drive.

I am going to need a garmin or something if I do this

Nope, just ride with me and you'll be fine. I'll bring an extra Garmin on my ride in case one dies. I'm only going about 13-14 mph and you only need to avg 10 to finish within the time limit.

I am most likely to cramp. At which point, I would want you to drop me and go on

Yep. 100 mile was the most I have done so I understand it will be a challenge and will prolly die but eh.... YOLO right?
How many feet of elevation change? My longest (worst) ride was 107miles with 9k of elevation change.... did that 4 times total...three years in a row. I will never do that again. It was the last one that started my death spiral. Dehydration lead to DVT’s which lead to... worse (more permanent) things.... you see the results.

It was from my place to Coney Island and back. 100 with 3k.
My last long distance was 80 with 4k which was 7/17
I think I am sicko too because after those long distance rides, I tell myself I never want to do it again but I keep getting drawn in.
I blame @liong71er and @qclabrat

I don't watch TV till it's bed time my issue is just having to be so present with my son since my wife is at school. I know once my son is older it will be a little easier, drop him off at practice go for a run or ride and do more things I'd like to do.

If I get a road bike I'd join you but we'd have to do it out here where there aren't many cars
